Wow, I can’t believe how long it’s been since I updated this thing. I don’t want to update just for the sake of updating, but a year and a half is a pretty ridiculous span between journal entries. I’ll try to keep it short.
As evidenced by my gallery, I’m still on a MLP kick. Art wise, it is almost all-consuming, but fortunately for me, this isn’t my day job, so I have the luxury of indulging in fan art
Speaking of which, I haven’t made any new Robotech pictures recently (aside from MLP crossovers), but

I’m tempted to start a wine-themed tumbler featuring my MLP OC, Cork Dork. I don’t really grok tumbler though, so I’m not sure if this is going to happen, or what I would do with it. An ask blog perhaps? I’m not a sommelier, so any advice/suggestions I’d give would be pretty basic. And speaking of wine and ponies, my friend

I don’t think I can yet say that I grok tumblr, but I understand a little more now than I did a few weeks ago – enough that I’m going to go ahead and plug my tumblr page.
The tumblr is a called “Cork Dork’s Cellar” (http://askcorkdork.tumblr.com/) and features Cork Dork, a wine-loving pony OC that ~Calandor (https://www.deviantart.com/calandor) and I created. Right now, I envision the blog being a mix of typical ask-blog stuff (responses to viewer-generated questions) as well as quasi-educational and/or story-driven art posts (wine reviews, recommendations, the continuing adventures of Cork Dork, etc.). Just an FYI for those interested in ponies (which is probably most of you ;) ): I’ll be at BronyCon again this year. I don’t vend, but perhaps we will cross paths. On Saturday, at least, I will likely be wearing RD paraphernalia though that won’t exactly make me stand out.

You never expect it to happen to you. You try to rationalize it away. I'll just watch one episode. What harm could it do? Surely, I won't turn out like them.
Next thing you know, you are up to your ass in candy colored plastic mares, sitting on your couch in a too-tight Rainbow Dash T-shirt watching MLP in HD on Netflix while drunkenly singing along to "Winter Wrap-up" as you throw back your 3rd tumbler of Jim Beam Kentucky Bourbon.

Updates
Well, it's been over a year, so it's way past time to update this journal. Art wise, the past year was pretty slow, particularly the last half. Part of this was due to being busy with other projects (installing crown molding and bamboo flooring in my house), but mostly it was because I was oddly disinterested. I do (finally) have some new work up and still have a half-finished piece that I will hopefully complete one of these days.
It's also rather funny that last year I was talking about my wife getting me into Pokemon and now I'm into MLP. I don't know if that is an improvement or not ;)
